MCSA - Microsoft Certified System Administrator
Microsoft Certifications Overview:
Microsoft has recently revamped their certificates programs to be more targeted. The Certifications Overview provides a map of how the certifications fit together. In addition, the newer Microsoft Certifications have lifecycle policies that are new to the Microsoft Certification program. These policies were put in place to ensure that Microsoft Certifications remain up-to-date on relevant Microsoft technologies.
Training for the Microsoft Certifications can be accomplished in a classroom or via distance or e-learning programs. More information about the Microsoft training programs can be found on the training pages.
The MCSA - Microsoft Certified System Administrator:
The MCSA is designed to make sure you have the skills to effectively manage and troubleshoot systems running on the Microsoft Windows operating system.
There are recommended courses to take if you are just starting out on MS Windows Server 2003. There is also a set of upgrade classes (scroll to the bottom) you can take if you already have your MCSA on Windows 2000. In addition, you can take specialty courses and get certified as a MCSA: Messaging on Windows Server 2003 or MCSA: Security on Windows Server 2003. Finally, there is a preview of the next generation of MCSA certifications available, which will be targeted towards Windows Live 2008.
